NASA has demonstrated that a phone is fully capable as a control device for remotely operated vehicles. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, as a smartphone is basically a fully-functional computer comperable to desktop computers from a decade ago, but it is still very cool. I want one. The whole thing: rover and phone.
There is an interesting article in Scientific American on human semen talking about studies into the biological effects of semen in the female body. Among other things, they demonstrate corrolations (not yet confirmed to be causations, by the way) between the amount of unprotected heterosexual sex a woman has and a significant reduction of symptoms of depression.
Tractor beams are now a reality. Well, sort of. It only works in an atmosphere, it's limited to relatively small objects, and currently only lateral movement has been demonstrated. Still, all great things start somewhere. Fascinating!
